Does anyone know if that ding sound you hear when you confirm a download is in the list of sounds on the iPhone?? Only threads I could find was from haters wanting to silence it but I love it and want it for a text tone!!

I can confirm that it is NOT in the list of ringtones / text tones that you can select.

You can use GarageBand to import the sound, convert it to ringtone / text tone and add it to the list of tones that you can select. GarageBand is free and can be downloaded from the App Store.

You can also find pages that can convert the tone from the current format to "m4r" which is the format the toner should be in, also then transfer it in iTunes (PC) or Finder (Mac)
