Screen dims randomly

I need to know why my phone dims randomly. I have a 13 pro max and it dims randomly just as my 10 did. Auto brightness is off and power save is off. I haven’t noticed any pattern of when this occurs. If it’s a glitch I’d like to know if it has a fix. There is also no way to turn the brightness back up. It just goes back to bright on its own.
