AirPrint Cube

You guys should develop, market, and sell an AirPrint device or "AirPrint Cube" that allows consumers to print via USB for all printers that are not AirPrint compatible.

P.S.

Disclaiming any title to name "AirPrint Cube"

Thank You

What you asked for is called an AirPrint print server, a network-attached device which allows network Wi-Fi clients that implement AirPrint printing to access and print to printers lacking AirPrint, and AirPrint print servers are available.

That is, what you asked for is available now.

Search for AirPrint print server in the previously-linked AirPrint article for the list of print servers published by Apple.

Again, these AirPrint print servers are print servers (your “AirPrint Cube”), and not printers with AirPrint.

HP has been making similar devices for aeons too, called JetDirect print servers. Recent JetDirect models have added support for AirPrint for connecting into HP printers lacking AirPrint support. These are targeted for HP printers, and not the generic printer support that you’ve requested.

As for your suggestion, such devices are available.

Search for "AirPrint print servers" here:

Yes, I appreciate the support link, however, I was just writing this review so that someone in R&D would see this and make an AirPrint Cube for all printers. That way all printers can be on the AirPrint network even those that do not support apple AirPrint. In addition, this would also solve the problem of having to place a computer near the printer, always plug in through usb, in order to get the printer onto the AirPrint network.

It was just a product idea and something I believe a lot of people would enjoy since AirPrint is very useful with iOS devices. Especially since Macs are always able to connect through the network using bonjour to access the printer.
