I’m trying to update my phone software and for some reason it’s not installing. Only way I can make calls and text is if I update my phone. I have to be connected to the internet to install but I keep getting a message saying I’m not connected but I’m clearly connected to wifi.

Go to: Settings -> General -> Software Update.

You need about 7 GB device storage and good Service & Wi-Fi.
If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.
