Beats Flex will NOT turn off

I have a set of Beats Flex in-ear headphones. I absolutely love these earphones for exercise and general physical activity. I purchased them in December 2021. Recently they stopped having the ability to power down. When I press and hold the power button the white light goes into connecting mode instead of powering down. The indicator light does not change colors at all anymore (no blue when connecting or orange when charging). When I plug the headphones into to charge they will take a charge and I can connect them to my phone and use them. When I am finished using them I cannot shut them off so the battery completely drains unless I plug them in to charge them. I've tried the reset sequence (hold power and volume buttons for 15 seconds) and it doesn't do anything. Help?
