Hi MacBook Pro 2020, connection issues

Hi, always been able to wirelessly connect to the internet, also Personal hotspot has worked well, Tv in the area picking up wiFi signal well, somehow the MacBook is not picking up the wifi, or Hotspot, it seems the receive in the MacBook is not working, any help appreciated, Andrew

old issue, new issue, what changed?


Have you tried rebooting more than once.

Safeboot is good to sort anomalies on the a M1 2020—but you do not specify Intel or M1 MBP(?)


Is your wifi card recognized by the system?


>(Option key) System Information>Network>WiFi if not this would indicate a hardware issue...






Solve internet connection problems on Mac - Apple Support


Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

all known to cause issues on the macOS
