How to completely remove all traces of Music library and files
I recently noticed that some CDs that I downloaded are missing tracks. The track list shows all tracks but some are grayed out and unplayable, while the others are black and can be played.
I have deleted the Music folder on my Mac, which includes the folder with downloaded songs and the library database file. Yet after deleting those items, certain CDs still appear in the list on the left sidebar, and some can still be played.
I've tried adding my CDs to build my library from scratch, but some of those albums aren't complete after the CD is ejected.
I've cleaned all caches on my Mac There are no files on my iCloud account that I can find (unfortunately searching for files on iCloud is very hit or miss, unlike the Finder).
I'm using a late 2017 27" iMac running macOS 12.3.1.
What I'd like to do is torch all references to the Music app throughout my Mac. I am familiar with Terminal if there's some way it can be helpful.
I'd be very grateful for a comprehensive solution.
Thank you.
