Books app crashes a lot since 15.4.1 upgrade - iPad 7th generation

Ever since the 15.4.1 IOS upgrade, the Books app on my 7th generation iPad spends more time crashing after I open it then it does being open! I have not had problems with it before, and I use it to save viewable items in place of printing a lot of the time. No problem till now and I’m ready to pull my hair out. Need help!!

Apple Books Skipping Pages Hi Since the last update it seems Apple Books on the iPhone is skipping pages - it jumps ahead a number of pages when you turn the page. I downloaded two new books yesterday and both experienced the same problem (one being the latest Steve Jobs book) - it is also doing the same thing with older books in my library. I have tried restarting the device but the problem continues. I would be grateful for any guidance re how to fix the problem. Regards Bruce
