I have a 200GB storage that was full. The storage had 2 backups iPhone - 112GB and iPad - 17GB.
I deleted the iPhone backup expecting to free up 112GB however, my iCloud storage shows I only have 2 GB free and now a large chunk is showing as unidentified gray in the bar.

Rid of "System Data" (Formerly Called "Other"):
Use my User Tip: Clear Other storage on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
