My Mac Studio won't play some USB sticks

Anybody else got the same or similar problem.My Mac Studio plays some USB sticks, but won't play others.These are ones that played quite nicely on my older(2012 iMac)

does the usb stick not show up at all in finder and disk utility?

have you tried with an usb stick formatted in a different filesystem?

if the usb stick shows up in finder have you tried to drag and drop a file to the appetv or music app? have you tried other players such as vlc or other third party media players?

How old is the USB stick?

Try another, new USB stick connected directly to the Studio through a USB-C (small oval)>USB-A (rectangular) adopter.

The USB doesn't show up in the finder and I get a message onscreen saying 'USB ACCESSORIES DISABLED-Unplug the accessory using too much power and re-enable USB devices. I have tried all that, but no luck. I might add I'm in my mid 70s and tech seems to have left me behind,so any help gratefully received.
