I cannot connect my new Apple Watch to my iPhone.

I can’t connect my Apple Watch to my iPhone. When asked For my password for FaceTime Audio it has the wrong appleID and it doesn’t give me an option to change the Apple ID. This is like the first step in the process and I can’t get by it.

I am not sure I understand which device is locked? The watch has never been paired. The iPhone has the correct Apple ID set up as well. However when I try to pair the watch I get through the first step. It asks what wrist then brings up a screen on the phone saying in order to use FaceTime Audio on the watch you have to login. But instead of the AppleID set up on the home, there is an old ApeID displayed and I don’t know the password and can’t change the password. There are no options except the password field and “forget password”. It has to be some hidden AppleID setting on the phone but I can’t find it.

What is an iPhone model 13 running iOS 15.5.

Watch is the new version seven Marvel 45 mm. Your message I’m receiving is when I get to the set up screen it asks for my Apple password but the Apple ID is an old Apple ID which I don’t use anymore. I don’t know the password and I can’t reset it. This Apple Watch was never came with another device it’s brand new. I don’t know what operating system is on the Apple Watch because I’ve never gone with the boot.

You can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Remove the Activation Lock Here.

Or this;

If you can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt with the serial number along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.

I cannot connect my new Apple Watch to my iPhone.
