TV App - not able to watch downloaded movies

when I’m in airplane mode I can no longer access any of my downloaded movies. Have always been able to in the past

Are you sure that these movies are actually downloaded to your iPad and not still on Apple's download servers?

These movies need to be actually purchased and physically downloaded to your iPad.

If these movies have a cloud icon next to them, then these movies have NOT been downloaded to your iPad and will not play without a network connection to either stream or redownload these movies directly to your iPad.
