MacBook Pro external monitor blurriness

Will a 2020 MacBook pro 15" rendering on a 27" 4k Monitor scaled to ~1080p resolution be blurry? I've heard that depending on what resolution scaling you choose on a 4k monitor, text can become blurry.

Hi joe_connoly,

If you plan to use a 4K monitor, typically with the native resolution of 3840x2160, this will scale down perfectly to a 1920x1080 resolution. Any other resolution that doesn't scale to monitor's native resolution will result in a blurry image, which as you mentioned will be most visible on text.
