Using Driving and auto-reply not working

Until a recent update (15.1 or 15.2??), I could manually turn on DND While Driving, and have anyone texting me get a custom auto-reply. I use that on my work phone when I'm on vacation or out of the office for more than a few hours. I'm now running iOS 15.5 on an iPhone SE (work phone). My personal phone is an 8 Plus, also running 15.5.

I can do the same settings starting with Settings > Focus > Driving > Auto-reply All Contacts.

Then I set my auto-reply message, and turn on Driving (slider). The Allowed Notifications is set to None. I have Driving "Turn On Automatically" set to Activate Manually. That's why I set the Driving slider when I need to turn it on.

If the work phone is locked, it will show the Driving icon on the lock screen and ask if I'm driving before actually unlocking.

I tried testing it, my personal phone is a contact for my work phone. When Driving is activated, sending a text from my personal phone to my work phone should have triggered an auto-reply. It did not. None of my work contacts are getting an auto-reply.

I have tried "Share Focus Status" turned on, and turned off, no change in result.

I will be out of the office for several days next week and don't want folks complaining that I'm not responding to text messages. If they get the auto-reply, they'd know I'm out of the office and when I'll return.

Help!!!
