Pages: This document could not be autosaved. You don’t have permission?

I am administrator/only user on my computer. Still, being denied access b/c don't have permission is common. So, common that I don't think I've ever used autosave in Pages.

Is there some basic switch i need to turn on? I can't a way to enable in pages>Preference.

how do I get permission?

thanks

Thanks. An Apple support specialist told me a day ago that there was a good recent page on Permissions. hopefully it's one of these 2. The problem of being denied access or blocked even from opening apps has gotten worse since posted. clearly migration didn't include permissions. and i'd worked with the Specialist for several hours trying to fix it.

Still more to do.
