Duplicate contacts on my iPhone SE 3

Hi, I read a previous answer regarding deleting duplicate contacts by going into groups and unselect all the options except iCloud. My question is; I have an Outlook account that is linked to my contacts so it auto populates when I write an email to an existing contact. Additionally, when I add a new email contact to my Outlook contacts list, it automatically updates in my Contacts app. So, my question is; if I unselect Outlook and only select ICloud, Will this mean that if I add a new contact in Outlook it will no longer automatically appear in my Contacts app?
