Google Maps failure to start up
Why has www.google.com/Maps/ stopped working on an iPad? The app fails to load as though it can’t find the web address. This has been going on for 2 or 3 days.

The web address you provided works and was the link that I had saved as a favourite. For some reason it got changed with the addition of a location somewhere in North America which presumably didn’t exist. Why the software changes this favourite link only Google knows!
i have noticed that Google have been pushing their app version and had assumed that they had finally closed the old web address. This would be a pity as it is far more useful than the app. It has street view for a start!
