Apple tv requires itunes account?
Trying to sign up for apple tv+, got apple ID, but stops saying I need iTunes account with no info on how to get that

It seems the Apple ID account in use isn’t ready yet for Store purchases.
Possibly the account details aren’t complete or not verified? The account needs full user details, a verified email address (respond to test message), and a valid payment method.
