Apple Watch in my home according to “Find my”

Hey 😌

Unfortunately, my apple watch was probably lost in the ocean while I was surfing (it was original strap..

The thing is that I can't remember if that's the case or maybe something else happened before I got out and saw that the watch is not on my hand.

This is series 6 with cellular and I kinda sure the cellular was ON while it lost.

So in the Find my App I can see that watch is exactly in home address somewhere and it is also keep updating on the location every day!

So an apple representative told me that the watch apparently remember his last location which is my house..

Is there any way to check if before I arrive home the watch was on the beach through his location?

The situation is disappointing me so much and I wish it is true and maybe I just need to do everything I can to find it somewhere here, or just to expect the fact it drowned in the water for good.

Sorry for all the words, but do you guys know if it is even make sense that the watch location still updating even though it is 100% without battery?

Thank you so much!

TLDR: 99 % lost my watch at beach, it’s have cellular and I guess it was ON.

Now the location keep showing me the watch is in my house 😳

BTW: Are there any recommend bands for this type of activities?

I have heard that sometimes when the watch battery is dead, then the 'Find My' for the watch will resort to the iPhone it was paired with. You should at least put the watch into Lost Mode.

BTW, Apple Watch Series 2 and newer may be used for shallow water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, Apple Watch Series 2 and newer shouldn't be used for scuba diving, water skiing, or other activities involving high velocity water or submersion below shallow depth.  Fiort more info, see:

Thank you.

So it's not making sounds like a disappointing feature..

I thought the point of “find my” is to show the lost/stolen products.. I don't need it if it can't do It.. And this is not the first time that I'm trying to locate some of my lost items.. It's always the same result. Never helping. For example when my Mac got stolen it didn't even show in the “Find My״. Same for my friend with his iPhone 13 pro max.

And why is the cellular option can't help with locating the phone? The customer service told me it's only working with wifi.

I mean why is this feature even made if it can't help when needed..

The products can now be located even without a battery?

Thank you
