Brand New iPad Pro Tap to Wake

The replacement iPad Pro I was given doesn't tap to wake after being in sleep mode longer than 30 minutes. It wakes to a black screen. I have already tried hard resets and erasing all the content and starting over from scratch. Anyone else having this issue and been able to solve it?

Given that your iPad has been replaced, potentially with a reconditioned iPad, you be best advised to seek assistance directly from from Apple Support - as your replacement iPad may itself have a fault.


You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad.
