Recently not all the text messages I receive come through to my MacBook Pro. I am running 12.3.1 so up to date on OS. They come through to my iphone fine. Also, some messages I send from the MacBook fail to get sent. This never happened until recently. What is going on? Thanks.

My computer keeps telling me I am up to date when I check for app updates so I don't know about OS 12.4. When i search the app store for OS 12.4 nothing like that comes up. Besides, this is not something that is happening because i don't have the latest OS unless there is a bug in 12.3.1
MacOS updates are not found in the App Store.
At the top left of your MacBook screen tap the little Apple
Tap About This Mac
Tap Software Update
Update your Mac to MacOS 12.4
Otherwise, make sure you open the link razmee209 provided above about Continuity Services and make sure you have your message settings configured correctly. It's not likely a bug in MacOS 12.3.1. I certainly didn't have any issues with messages not coming to my MacBook Pro on that version.
I have done what you suggested in terms of updating the OS and that's when I get the message "your mac is up to date." I also searched the app store and nothing came up. Any idea why this is happening?
Sharing messages seems to be turned on. In fact, most of my messages I receive come through to both the iPhone and the MacBook Pro. It's just that some don't. This is not something which is consistent.
On your MacBook, open the Messages App
Tap Messages next to the little Apple
Tap Preferences and then iMessage
Make sure ALL of the ways people can message you are checked
If this doesn't help, use the Get Support button at the top of this page to get help from Apple directly.
You are not up to date if you are running MacOS 12.3.1. The current MacOS is 12.4.
Again, there is nothing in the app store, which will help you. Did you read the section in the link on Continuity to make 100% sure you have set up messages correctly from your iPhone to your Mac?
