MacBook Pro M1Pro/Max - Burning smell MagSafe Charger

Hello everybody,

we have purchased two MacBook Pro (One M1 Pro / One M1 Max).

One of our charging bricks emits a burning/electrical smell when connected to either one of these two MacBooks. The smell can be located to the actual MagSafe connector plugged in the device.

We cleaned the tip with a q-tip but there is no residue or other particels visible. Also the pins do not seem burned/black and look identical to the other one which works fine.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Greetings,

R
