iPhone storage almost full and overheating after update iOS 15.5

Hi,

the behaviour from iOS 15 update (After iOS 15 update I get” iPhone storage… - Apple Community) seems to be back. Today I updated my iPhone 12 Pro to iOS 15.5 after which it constantly lets me know "iPhone storage almost full" and occasionally would get really hot, so I had to power it off.

It seems there is an awful lot of System Data taking up space. What actually is System Data if not iOS which is its own slot?

Any fix? Thanks for any help!

Tomorrow I'll call Apple to see if they can help.

Well, I found a fix for this! Go running. No, I mean it. I went running after I posted above post and when I checked my phone back home again, it was back to "normal". I have no clue about how - it sort of resolved itself. I did nothing.

Below a fresh screenshot and yes, the System Data plays a part in this.

Resolved - for now!
