I can add google drive but since google photos no longer syncs with google drive, I want to add the google photos folder/ app to my iOS files separately. I don’t see it as an option, only adobe creative cloud, google drive, iCloud Drive and on my iPad (as locations). Need some assistance!

Unfortunately you have encountered an apparent limitation of the Google Photos App - as it doesn’t provide the system-level integration of Apple’s native Apps.
Have you looked at Google’s own help pages? As the developer of the Google Photos App, you may find additional support.
I have the google photos app on the iPad, but when I want to add a photo (to email etc.) only iOS Photo Gallery, iOS files or Take a photo is an option. If I can add the google photos app to my iOS files locations, then I can select these files without having to download them to my iPad unnecessarily.
Thanks, will try google forum… definitely a HUGE limitation of google photos and makes it annoying to use as anything other than a sort of external hard drive only good for backing up data.
