Connection Problem with Verizon Gigabit Router & MacBook Pro

Has anyone else had connection issues with the newest Verizon Gigabit router (white tower) and a MacBook Pro (2018) or older iMac (2013)?

My computers will connect for a short time, then drop connection and I can't get it back unless I reboot the router. Or it will be super slow and hang a lot. Again, will work for a few minutes to half an hour or so, then drop. I went back to using my old Verizon router which works just fine. Other devices on new router work fine (iPhones, Roku, etc). Been dealing with this for a few months.

MacBook is wireless, running Catalina 10.15.7.

iMac, I tried wired ethernet and wireless, running latest Mojave.

I cannot update my software because I use the iMac as a second display for the MacBook (target display mode).

Verizon replaced my new router, had techs out a few times, and had me run speed tests, try different things, reset stuff, etc. The person who helped me looked into it and said she believes it is a compatibility issue between their new router and these Macs. She was very helpful and had researched all kinds of things that we tried. However she said until enough people complain it won't get pushed through as an issue for them to resolve.

I also recently took my MacBook to someone else's house and I had the same issue there, they had the same router. Just wondering if anyone else is having these issues. Not sure if it's an Apple problem or Verizon. I did see someone on Verizon's forums having the same issue with their MacBook.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Safe Mode does not load many extensions, and no third-party extensions.

Are you running any third-party anti-virus software? if so, remove it while you debug and consider NEVER installing it again.

Hold down the Option key while you click the Wi-Fi icon in the MenuBar. you get a snapshot like this one. Please screenshot or transcribe the values:

Monthly rental...(?)

If Verizon can not resolve their hardware I would ditch it.

Get a different Modem & Router — and compare your results...

Personally I would use my own separate Modem & Router. Rental pool typically are not state of the art...

I always had good luck with ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 3.1 modem —found at most any retail location...

Thanks for your response. Yes I am paying for it, it's part of my package. I'm sure I can send it back if I have to but I'd rather know if there is some solution I am missing from someone else that has had this same issue.

I am currently using my old Verizon router, I don't remember what speed it is but it's worked for years with no issues. It's not really in my budget right now to buy my own gigabit router unfortunately or I would do that.
