Sidecar error: Unable to connect to [iPad name]. A miscellaneous error occurred (-1010). (OK)

MacBook Pro (16-inch, M1 Pro) with macOS Monterey 12.3.1 and an iPad Air 5th-Gen with iOS 15.4.1 and a USB-C-to-USB-C cable. Occurred while the iPad was switched out of Sidecar into a different iOS app for a few minutes. Both devices had been restarted recently due to troubleshooting Sidecar freezing problems.

The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.4

Sidecar is a great feature! The first step you'll want to take to resolve this is to update both your iPad and macOS. Updates have released recently and updating could help to resolve this issue. Be sure to back up first!

You'll also want to be sure that both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID and connected to the same Wi-Fi network shown under "Additional requirements" here: Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac
