Does someone’s focus status stop sharing with you if they delete your contact?

Hi,

I used to get another person’s focus status show up as notifications silenced almost every day, but it has not shown up now for over 2 weeks.

I’m trying to figure out if they deleted me as a contact from their phone, which is why their focus status has stopped sharing. Please help!

thanks

Hi Inaconundrum,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're unable to see a contact's Focus status. It doesn't necessarily mean that they've deleted your contact information, they can simply choose to share the status of Focus or not. you can learn more here: Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Share your Focus status
When you set up a Focus, you can turn on Share Focus Status so that apps display to people who message you that you have notifications silenced. The apps only know that you have notifications silenced. Apps don't know which Focus you have turned on, so the name is never shared. Focus status is shared in apps when you have a Focus turned on and after you give an app permission.
To turn Focus Status on:
1. Go to Settings > Focus.
2. Select the Focus you set up.
3. Tap Focus Status, then turn it on.

We hope this helps.

Take care!
