my Mac is showing no updates available but safari and chrome no longer work and saying my browser isn't supported but i cannot update anything

The three missing pieces of critical information—model, sub-model, and macOS version—that will let us help you in this setting are quickly available by doing "About the Mac..." from your Apple menu.


The arrangement of the resulting "About..." window varies with age of the OS, but this shows what to look for:



For security reasons, please DO NOT post the serial number.

Without stating what exact mac this is and what exact macOS you are currently running —there is little to add here.


If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn't working as ...



try a different browser
