MacBook Pro 2019 accepts only 24 Characters of my 28 Char Recovery Key.

Recently I generated a Recovery key on my Macbook and after a couple of days i tried to unlock my Macbook pro with it but it doesn't seem to work since Macbook is accepting only 24 digits(after automatically generating dashes) but the key I have is a 28 digit one. This key was generated to unlock the mack book and not a firevault key. It was generated by going into settings->Apple ID->Password & Security->manage(Account Recovery) Manage(Recovery key)->Turn On and Create New Key.

Please Help!

If you encrypted your Mac’s boot disk with FileVault 2 —

this prevents you from using your Apple ID to reset your password

(since the password is used in FileVault’s encryption). Read this Apple support document for more information about FileVault. see "Turn Off FileVault" Button Grayed Out --… - Apple Community
