Delivery times on new iMac 24"

Online, selected new iMac 24" to purchase and delivery was showing May 27. I selected 16gb memory and the delivery time changed to Aug 10th! I did not go any further with the process.

The delivery time extension seems excessive to me. Is this what everyone is experiencing? Is that an accurate delivery time or are they delivering sooner?

Thank You

Try selecting both the memory and the storage you want -- on at least one memory configuration the 8GB/512GB and the 16GB/1TB combination both have May 27 dates but if you change to 16GB/512GB the date goes out to August -- the memory/storage combination matters.

I’ve had them add memory for me at the store when I purchased.

No more. Not even Apple can "add" memory to an M1 iMac after it leaves the factory. RAM is integral with the M1 chip.

Check the refurb site several times a day. The selection changes that fast. When I was shopping for a refurb iMac in 2011 I wanted one with the i7 processor. Nothing there on morning checks at 8AM and about 10AM but, shortly before noon, an i7 appeared and I snagged it. You have to be fast and decisive to find those.
