Black box messages on Instagram

all of my chats on Instagram have turned black. I tried deleting the app and reinstalled and it went back to normal but only for a bit and now it’s all black again…

iPhone SE, iOS 12

It’s an glitch in the Instagram app; nothing to do with your iPhone.

Workaround is to turn your phone setting to Dark mode, then you can see them. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

That is happening to me as well. Did. The same steps plus reported to Instagram. Still black on mines. Someone else have ideas
