Why is my Smart Keyboard lagging when typing in Numbers on my ipad

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with lag on your Smart Keyboard when using Numbers. Is it only when using this application? Are there any updates available for it in the App Store?
