iMessage Issue
My iPhone will not let me send messages, I know you have to go to your settings and change the receive and send iMessage from your Apple ID to your phone number but all I get is the spinny wheel of death... Help?

We'd suggest the steps in this article, as it has information for SMS (green) and iMessage (blue), which are the two different types of messages you can send and receive:
If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
