I want to ask about apple watches , actually i am thinking of buying an apple watch but i have some questions .

about calculating the burned calories , is that true that the apple watch can calculate my burned calories if i am setting in my home without doing any excersises even when i am sleep i heard that apple watch can calculate my burned calories in any position , is that true ?
