I need down load YouTube and Pinterest but can’t get pastAppleid and password. App Store asks for Apple ID and password but only gives 1 line to enter

It says this Apple I'd has not been used to sign into itunes store. Then gives a text box wants me to enter Appleid and password but gives only 1 place to enter password. I enter password and it says Apple id or password is incorrect. This continues endlessly
What happens if you enter the password?
Unable to download Apps to my iPhone. Issue with Apple ID and password.
