Installation after formatting macbook

After erasing the drive, you should have selected the "Reinstall macOS" option after quitting Disk Utility. You will now need to boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R or from a bootable macOS USB installer.

It means your Mac cannot find an operating system. If you installed/reinstalled the OS, something went sideways.
