I have a 2D 2-Axis chart in Numbers (version 12.0) showing several different data series. I have added data labels to a couple series ("Started beta blocker" and "Stopped beta blocker") and don't want these series to show up in the legend, as it's a bit redundant.
Is there any way to remove these data series from the legend while keeping them in the chart?

As far as I know you there is no easy option to do this.
But you could try this
Data have value A to C, but only value A & B are shown in the legend.
Step 1: create a diagram with all your data that should be shown in the legend.
Step 2: create a second diagram with the data that should not be shown in the legend
It must have the same size and range as the first diagram, limits for both diagrams should be set manually. Only data no other information / text.
Step 3: move them to the same location and check that the one with the limited information is in the front.
This may not be an easy solution, but until somebody will show something better it is a working option.
