Geo-lock

I have an iPhone 7+, my Apple ID was established when I lived in the UK…my phone works perfectly in the UK and also Cambodia. I’m now based in the U.S. and can’t get some regional apps - including my bank! I’ve changed the location to US but am still getting this problem- can anyone suggest what the issue could be?!

To double-check, when you say you changed your region, was that in your iPhone device settings, or for the iTunes Store? It may be worth checking your iTunes Store region specifically and making sure you changed this as well: Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We're happy to lend a hand to see what may be causing these apps not to work. We appreciate you letting us know you have recently changed countries on your iPhone. Do you know if the bank app is available in the USA?


You can verify the app(s) will work in the USA by locating it in the App Store on your iPhone. It should have in the description in what countries/regions you can use the app.

Thank you for that information. Have you tried reaching out to the developer of the app or your bank to see if there is any known issue with transferring your account or access information between countries? There may be some preference setting that might need to be changed.


When you say Slack is unavailable, are you not seeing it on the US App Store? Or that it isn't on your phone any longer?
