Macbook in clamshell mode, 2 hdmi monitors

can anyone else confirm they have successfully connected more than one monitor up to their macbook in closed clamshell mode, and if so, were you successful going through a single thunderbolt port, or did you have to use multiple?

Mac only recognizing one monitor in clamshell mode Hello, I am trying to use my new Macbook Air 2023 with an M2 chip on my dock system. when the macbook itself is open, it will recognize one external monitor which is what I expected. However, when I transition to clamshell mode, it still only recognizes one monitor and I am trying to figure out ways to make it recognize the second one. both of the monitors are plugged in to the dock correctly and working, but the monitors just mirror each other, and I want them to extend into each other. Is there any way to fix this? or am I going to have to deal with this as a Mac user. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Connecting 2 external monitors to an M2, 2022 MacBook Air Have individual USB-2 connections plugged in. It will recognize one, but not both together. Both laptop ports work - and both monitors will individually work as second monitor regardless of port. Just can't see both together. Anyone know of a solution?

Thunderbolt ports on left more powerful and the one on right side? I've MacBook Pro 15" 2019. I've had tried to connect 2 external monitors, one on left and other on the right. But right done wouldn't get the video signal at all. Searching online revealed that left side ports are more powerful. Is it recommended to connect the power to the right side port close to the headphone jack? Thanks

You have posted to the forum area for 12" Retina MacBooks, they do not support the use of 2 external monitors.
