Help showing Only "Current" new Email

I posted this in another thread but was a bit of a mess and went off topic.

Hopefully I've cleaned this up and it makes since now.

A E-mail problem is the reason that brought me here to the community forums today

I and several people at work would all love to know a fix for this as we just went from Android to Apple and thousands of archived emails showing as "New or Unread" won't work.

Example of the Problem:

Android shows I have 7 (New) Emails 34,708 in 'Folders'.

Outlook shows 7 (New) Emails 34,708 In Folder 'Archived'.

Thunderbird shows I have 7 (New) Emails 34,708 in Folder 'Archived'.

iPhone shows I have 34,715 Unread Emails.

It just seems to be missing something stopping it from only showing "Current" Emails.

I tried using the Gmail app since our old Androids show the correct numbers.

However on iPhone the app behaves differently than Android and does just as iPhone's native app, showing the same 34,715 emails on the badge.

STMP Isn't an option because it defeats "Archiving" things by downloading them.

Trying to use Folders isn't working because the client treats everything as "New" regardless of it's age.

IMAP/POP the emails still pool regardless of folder structure.

Phone Models in use

iPhone 7

iPhone SE G3

iPhone 13

iPhone 13 Pro Max

and 2 iPads "I don't know the model right off"

My only current work around I have currently is using a SPICE web session to create to remote into a Windows PC to check and manage Emails and honestly I can do that with anything with a web browser.

Maybe Apple devices are unable to do what we are wanting here or maybe if there is a 3rd party app that can help any helps welcome.

They change each time I sync a new client back to default (Unread).

Phone A Connects > Mark read

Phone B Connects > Back to Unread

Each phone has a shared user unique pass but sync from same account.

I'm not sure if the way the emails are able to distinguish from "User A" Reading apart from "User B"?

But at the same time something has to be doing it because the An(Dword) phones manage not to loose sync from peer to peer.

I'm thinking the answer might be.

-Droids care less about privacy and might be keeping tabs on Read Unread in the phone or google user account itself.

Update: Everything got marked "Unread" then it spread to every other client "Unread".

Answer:

Step 1. Sync (Un&)read Flags on a Bulk client (PC) or (MAC)

-Step 2. Sign into each device and sync (One at a Time)

--Note: DO NOT use Move to iOS to Sync everything.

It's not as simple as just Sign In and Go, but after your post & a "Palm to Face" Check. I was able to get it.
