iPhone doesn’t have enough space

Hi Everyone

I have a pretty recent iPhone 12pro max that is only about 10 months old. Because it had something called ‘Other’ that was taking so much space, I backed up the phone and deleted everything hoping to restore and get back all my data, photos, contacts etc. Minutes after the backup, iTunes however would not let me restore it- apparently ‘my iphone doesnt have enough space’ yet I am using the latest versions of ios and itunes. Doesn’t sound right as the phone is ‘empty’ now and im restoring the same data there was in there.

Help please! Cannot afford losing the data especially photos in my phone.

Hello!

The "you don't have enough space" message is an indicator that the backup size of your iPhone is greater than the current available space. Therefore, your iPhone cannot have its data restored.

Here's some relevant websites to check:

If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch – Apple Support (AU)

Not enough free space to restore iphone b… - Apple Community

Back up and restore your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or to iCloud – Apple Support (UK)

Hope this helps!
