Thermometer on Apple 6 Watch

Has anyone else gotten the thermometer on their apple 6 watch? I got one after getting mine wet for the first time since I got it over a year ago. After the water park I cleared the water from it using the option & scrolling the crown. Then I put it on the charger to take a shower. It got a bit warm on the charger & went into this temperature mode. It will not clear at all & won’t reboot or anything. I contacted apple but they won’t do anything because they say this can not be fixed. It has to be replaced. I can pay $325 to have it looked out & probably replaced or pay $399 for a new Apple Watch 7. Very upset I didn’t do anything wrong. My watch was not in any extreme heat or cold.
