Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with a contact receiving messages from your email address rather than your phone number. It sounds like your Apple ID is activated with iMessage and your “Start new conversations from” is set to your email address, instead of your phone number. To resolve this, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and change the settings to start new conversations from your phone number.
