How may I access my Picasa photos on the new IMac 27, unable to open.

Thanks! I now have a new problem how to access the old Picasso photos and transfer to the cloud. My google account is full and they wish me to buy more space. I recently bought more Diane on iCloud. It is confusing. Can you help?

Also, it's been years since I used Picasa and that was on Windows but at that time I had a local copy of my Picasa photos on my computer. Are you sure that yours aren't already on your Mac?
Well I’ve been advised they could be found on google. But I’ve used up all my space on goggle. I did purchase added storage on I cloud.
