Unable to get photos on my husbands imac Big Sur - I just get a rolling ball

Is there another way to get the photos files without using photos app as there used to be a photo library with all the files in?

Hi - Where is the library stored? If on an external drive, what is the format.



Try restarting your mac in safe mode and then trying.

Then restart normally, and try again.


Safe mode will clear temporary files and caches, and sometimes fixes odd glitches such as this.
