My flashlight icon is completely missing on iPad air. I know how to go to the control settings menu to add back but it is not even an option to choose. I I have used it in the recent past. Any ideas?
What would the OP gain by referring to the link at the top of the page? They own the newer iPad Air. There is no flashlight on any iPad Air model. There never has been one on an iPad Air. Ever.

Again, how can they troubleshoot something which isn't an option on their iPad? Do you not understand the OP owns an iPad Air and wants to know why they can't use flashlight on the device? The answer is because the device they own doesn't have flashlight. There is nothing to troubleshoot.
I'm not sure how you used flashlight recently on an iPad Air? Only iPad Pro models have a flashlight.
My apologies. My old iPad was an iPad Pro. That is the one I used the flashlight on.
