Rapid Series 6 battery drain after 15.5 update

In 24 hours after updating my watch iOS, I have had to charge it SIX times. I have changed all relevant power settings and restarted it twice. In 93 minutes since my last charge to 100%, it has used 49% of the battery. Prior to the update, my 15 month old watch lasted ALL day on a full charge. What’s going on??

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

WatchOS 7.5 battery drain - Apple Community

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
