Apple car play notifications very loud. Tried Everything!

We have a late 2021 Hyundai Palisade and for some reason when ever my iPhone 12 is plugged into CarPlay the message notifications are deafening and literally scare the **** out of me. Siri and ring tones are normal but the message tones are waaay too loud. I have googled countless ways to adjust the volume settings via my car and phone and it doesn’t help. I have even disabled notifications on my phone yet they still blast through. I am positive it is a Palisade issue as I originally upgraded from a 2019 Hyuandai Santa Fe and that had no CarPlay issues with the same iPhone.? But Hyundai are saying it’s an iPhone setting?…. I am at a loss. Please help.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you need some help with notifications sounds on CarPlay. We are happy to help.

Some people have reported that changing the volume while Siri is speaking will allow the volume to be adjusted in a way that makes the sound more tolerable.

Basically, get Siri to start talking. While invoked, adjust the volume via the dashboard or steering wheel.

This should allow for adjusting of the “Voice Volume.”
