I've received pdf documents that require my electronic signatures and when I open the pdf in Preview on my MacBook Pro with macOS Monterey, add the signature, save the document, close the document and then reopen it, the signature is no longer there. Please advise.

The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.4

if no resolve try a differnt PDFeditor and compare your results:
