Application Support folder in OS library
Ts forum may not be the best place to ask this technical question and perhaps someone in the know might recommend another place or a technical paper. So here goes:
While this likely a general question, I am using Monterey on my computer, so here it is: Recently migrated to a new computer and old stuff came over, and after trying the current Photoshop Elements, I deleted as disappointing, using the adobe uninstaller.
Examining the Adobe folder within Application Support is one subfolder labeled Photoshop Elements with over 1GB contents. The uninstall application did not remove. Anyone _know_ this is safe to delete? It seems obvious, yet extreme care in going thru this folder is spoken of by many who advocate usually to leave alone.
Similarly there are folders in the Application Support library for iDVD, iPhoto, iWork'09, Livetype totaling over 1GB that seems like they could be deleted. All the applications are deleted, but not these support files.
Is it safe to say that one application never uses another applications support folder?
Thanks!
